What is the difference between Aleve® and AleveX™?
Aleve® is an oral pain reliever/fever reducer containing the active ingredient naproxen sodium (an NSAID) that temporarily relieves minor aches and pains due to backache, minor pain of arthritis, menstrual cramps, toothache, muscle aches, headache and the common cold, and temporarily reduces fever.
AleveX™ is a topical pain reliever containing the active ingredients menthol and camphor that is used for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with arthritis, simple backache, strains, sprains and bruises.

Does AleveX™ contain naproxen sodium?
AleveX™ does not contain naproxen sodium (the active ingredient in the oral pain reliever Aleve®). It contains the active ingredients camphor and menthol and is a topical pain reliever.
What are the differences between the AleveX™ formulas?
AleveX™ comes in two applications: spray and lotion with a rollerball applicator. The active ingredients are the same for all AleveX™ products.
When will AleveX™ begin to work?
You should feel the cooling within seconds of putting it on.
Can AleveX™ be used for swelling and inflammation?
No. AleveX™ is indicated for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with arthritis, simple backache, strains, sprains and bruises.
How does AleveX™ compare to other topical analgesics?
AleveX™ contains the active ingredients camphor and menthol and comes in two applications including a fast-drying spray and a unique stainless-steel massaging rollerball applicator.
How does AleveX™ work to relieve pain?
The active ingredients in AleveX™ stimulate receptors that create a sensation that can be described as cooling to help relieve pain.
Can I use AleveX™ with other topical creams, patches, sprays, etc.?
No. You should not use AleveX™ with any other product without consulting your doctor.
